These ads are running in Blunt's and Luetkemeyer's respective districts:

The LCV ads show just how big oil companies are thanking Blunt and Luetkemeyer for their "No" votes on the American Clean Energy and Security Act.

The script:

ANNCR:  There's a stain on Congressman Blunt's record.

Big oil and energy interests gave him over one million in campaign cash.

And when it came time to vote for the American Clean Energy and Security Act, he voted "no."

No to 1.9 million new jobs. No to less carbon pollution. And no to more energy independence for America.

Congressman Blunt - you're supposed to stand up to big oil, not turn your back on Missouri. Clean up your act.

Won't do much here in Lueteys district. (0.00 / 0)
In the virulently red counties in his district (I live in one), this ad will fall on deaf ears.  Everybody here lives in their issue ghettos, typically some combination of the Three Gs.  As long as he upholds fetal rights, makes sure everybody can own gobs of guns and bullets and squashes social threats to marriage, he could strangle kittens in front of 5 year old children and they'd still vote for them.

You'd know your own area, of course. (0.00 / 0)
But Luetkemeyer only got 50.0 percent of the vote in '08. Judy Baker got 47.5 and the libertarian got 2.5. So hiding somewhere in that (huge) district are people willing to vote for the Democrat. It would be nifty if we could find another 2.6 percent of them.
